Promoting Mandarin Language
In the golden autumn of September, we're kicking off the 28th National Week for Promoting the Standard Chinese Language! In this season brimming with hope and vitality, the Primary School Department has meticulously planned a series of rich and colorful activities to promote Mandarin, aiming to let Mandarin shine in every corner of the campus and make standard Chinese characters our common pride.
First and foremost, the first-grade children experienced the power of language for the first time through thematic class meetings. Meanwhile, teachers used interesting animations and children's songs to interactively guide the children to understand the significance of Mandarin.
In addition, the corridor was filled with the clear voices of second-grade children reading aloud. Poetry, prose, nursery rhymes... They interpreted the beauty of language with their pure voices. Also, some classes even launched a 'Mandarin Language Micro-Host' competition. Listen! That is the echo of traditional culture in the new era.
Moreover, even the horizontal and vertical strokes carry the essence, which represent the vitality. Specifically, third-grade students attended a Chinese character writing competition, where a series of neatly and beautifully designed works were displayed in the corridor, attracting teachers and students to stop and admire them. Evidently, what flowed from the tip of the pen was the reverence and inheritance of Chinese character culture.
Additionally, the combination of classroom environment creation and Chinese character art opens up endless possibilities! To be concrete, fourth-grade students combined Chinese character writing with the beautification of the classroom, making the Chinese characters 'come alive' in every corner of the classrooms.
Last but not the least, the senior-grade students used pens as tools and paintings as sounds to create a series of exquisite hand-written posters. From the history of language standardization to the evolution of Chinese characters, from the appreciation of poetry to the identification of wrongly-written characters - within these limited spaces, the vastness and profundity of language culture are fully displayed.
In summary, dear classmates, let's take action together and use our actions to strengthen the sense of the Chinese nation community. More remarkably, we should contribute our share to building a strong educational country and inheriting the excellent traditional culture of China. In the meantime, let's join hands and sail freely in the ocean of Mandarin, together creating a wonderful future!
